Not my Nick All Stars!! lol, fair enough. I should’ve been more clear that I’m not a Melee stan, havnt played in probably over a decade, at least not seriously. I just love how the games I listed feel is all. It baffles me anytime someone enjoys Multiversus, but I’m glad those players have something they enjoy. I can’t argue against Nick and Rivals being for a niche audience.

Who is the target audience then if not platform fighting game fans? Certainly not casual players because, unless you were playing the beta, you have to grind for days and days to no end to get all the characters, so there goes friends playing couch co-op. Certainly not the competitive scene. You don't have ranked mode and you can't set up a tourney due to the lack of setups that will have all the characters. All that leaves you with is a very small community of die-hard WB fans, which I promise you is getting smaller by the day with how badly they have been managing video games recently.

Basically anyone who gives good criticism to the game gets bashed or say brain dead comments so to just respond to that people are saying "You're probably not the target audience" just like the "0 views in 3 seconds you fell off" thing so basically any good criticism of Multiversus is just getting a "You're probably not the target audience" joke even though most do agree with you

I can see how you might think imma Melee player from the video, but that is far from the case. My fav Smash games are 4 or Ultimate, I havnt played Melee in probably over a decade. The games listed just happen to be Melee inspired, most likely because it’s most inspiring for the competitive platform players. As I said in the video, my biggest issue with Multiversus is how it feels and plays to me compared to every other platform fighter, maybe I should’ve been more specific, I’ll keep that in mind

This may be PFGs first game, but the devs make up a team of gaming veterans from League of Legends and God of War. Indie game devs with less experience can make a much better game.

Most people I see call the game bad are people who don’t put in the time whatsoever to actually get good at the game or play by some meta or something stupid like that rather than just playing it to have fun and play as your favorite WB (with the exception of others) characters. It’s a dumb party game that will never get as much fluidity as smash bros and that’s not a bad thing, it makes it it’s own thing and something we have to adapt to rather than just cry about how everything sucks and isn’t how we’re used to it being. Just play more, be smarter, get better.

@@masterderp1903 You have fun with your poor performing game with insane paywalls and a lack of respect for the player's time and wallet. Us other people will move onto other games, especially in the platform fighter genre that has a lot of competition now.

Somewhere in the middle. I agree that the game doesn't feel/control nearly as well as the other platform fighters, but I wouldn't say Player First Games aren't talented at making a platform fighter. After the beta they effectively rebuilt the game from the ground up with some new content in a year, and WB kinda made them release something before they were fully ready. They are listening to player feedback and working on improving the game as we speak, so only time will tell how the game ends up.

Nah the game definitely is bad, particularly for brand new players who've never touched the Beta once. There's a plethora of reasons why it's a lackluster experience compared to any other platform fighter, but the major ones include an unbearable grind for characters (or pricy purchases if you want to spend currency on them), locking goals in the PVE mode behind characters (and sometimes specific character skins), a very dysfunctional and unreliable online net-code, balancing so bad on launch they had to completely remove characters just to try and rebalance them, and just a lack of polish everywhere you look. Ranked mode still not being available a month after launch when it was already available in the Beta is also quite insulting. This game can be fun, and it is, but it's marred and buried behind a wall of pure WB greed and junk.

@@Omnirose You think having to use different characters to do missions on the rift mode is something bad?? Huh, guess that explains a good bit. Even if you didn’t touch the beta, it’s just as easy as it was before to hop on, as not much was actually changed. It’s been a month since the actual full release of this game and it’s still having its fair share of problems, but they gave us something for that so we could have a type of rank and even keep it after the event left. Maybe people who don’t want to take the time and get good at the game and practice will think it’s bad for these reasons, but anyone who enjoys the game knows that you gotta put in the effort to be good, I mean if you’re a new player who can’t catch on, why are you even worried about ranked? Or are you just speaking for everyone yourself?? Also, it was beta, things are subject to change in the final product.

Having missions to be completed by specific characters isn't inherently bad, but it does become that way for multiversus because it locks characters behind insane grind-walls or bloated $10 paywalls to get each character individually, or double that for Joker (whom is commonly needed for the very first Rift in the game mind you). It's not easy to hop on and play this game as a fresh player; having only a single playable character permanently for brand-new players in a roster-based, platform fighter is an insanely bad decision that kills both player retention and any chance this game has at having offline tournaments at the local level. Edit: Also, don't throw the "you don't want to put in the time to git gud" crap at me, this game does not respect my time. It takes over 900 hours to get every new character in the game, excluding Jason because he is strictly locked behind the paid Battlepass right now. I'm a casual player, but I am affected by the lack of ranked mode because this means players with way more hours put into the game are just going to wipe the floor with me due to quickplay's complete lack of ranked matchmaking. Pro players don't want to go against me because they won't be given a challenge and I don't want to go against them because I won't learn anything of value for just getting my ass totally handed to me. I know 100% I ain't the only one complaining about this, too, given it was already finished in the Beta but removed, like a lot of other features, in the 1.0 release.

They appear in the remake? Since there is no Partners in Time remake.
